Polypropylene tape can be separated into three categories of tape:
Solvent tape offers exceptional adhesion to polythene products and supports adhesion in cold environments – great for long-term use.
Acrylic tape is an eco-friendly substitute to hotmelt and solvent tapes. It is water based and also offers excellent UV resistance.
Hotmelt tape is an economical adhesive that provides quality adhesion for corrugated surfaces and general packaging.
Are you purchasing packaging tape for the first time and don’t know where to start? There is a lot to take into consideration when buying a packaging tape. Buying a tape which will support the weight of your packages is one of the most important factors.
At Ferrari Packaging, our tapes come in a variety of materials, shapes and sizes.
Due to its quality and versatility, solvent tape is often more expensive than other taping options. Solvent tape is a sturdy option which is at its best in a minimal pressure environment.
Allowing your packaging tape to set correctly will maximise the protection it offers. We recommend leaving the solvent tape to set for around 20 minutes.
For best application results with the solvent tape, it is recommended that the surface should be clean, dry and free of oil, grease, dust, fibres or any other dirt. If it is not, the effectiveness of adhesion may be reduced.
Still unsure if solvent tape will be the best option for your business? We would be more than happy to guide you in the right direction! Give us a call today.
